This episode’s topics of discussions include
#1. The injury situation in Montreal altered their trade plan is ever way possible. There were so many players expected to be moved. Injuries destroyed any hope of being able to showcase any players Montreal intended to trade.
#2. After a disappointing trade deadline, it sets up a most intriguing offseason starting at the 2023 draft, and the eligible list of players to move should be inclusive of Josh Anderson, Christian Dvorak, Joel Edmundson, David Savard, Chris Wideman, Joel Armia, Jake Evans, Jake Allen and Mike Hoffman.
#3. The only player that has an expiring contract that I would even think about offering a contract to is Sean Monahan.
#4. As for Jonathan Drouin, Montreal just needs to let him just walk away at this point.
#5. What is with the continued obsession regarding Pierre Luc Dubois?.
#6. Kaiden Guhle is going to be a fantastic leader and undoubtably will be named an assistant captain of the team sooner rather than later.
#7. Arber Xhekaj is going to be a corner stone player for the organization.
#8. Jordan Harris seems like he’s been in the NHL for years already, he has played at and with a comfort level that veteran players play with, he doesn’t get rattled, he’s always calm and that his skating and transition games is beyond his years.
#9. Jonathan Kovacevic and Justin Barron have provided a much-needed upgrade on the right side of the Canadiens defense.
#10. It’s absolutely fantastic to see a quality of arriving players in Montreal that has not been seen for decades, except occasionally
#11. There should be a very long line of people lining up to apologize to former General Manager Marc Bergevin.
