#5. The Vancouver Canucks have acquired center Elias Lindholm from the Calgary Flames, to open up the trading season in the NHL, and the Calgary Flames, get a haul in return.

#6. The Montreal Canadiens have traded Forward Sean Monahan to the Winnipeg jets, and got that additional 1^st round pick that most were saying Montreal could not and would not get for Sean Monahan, and more. So many were and are wrong again. That’s got keep stinging badly.

#7. Another coach has been fired. The L.A. Kings have fired head coach Todd McLellan, who now joins Jay Woodcroft, Dean Evason, Craig Berube, D.J. Smith and Lane Lambert.
